MetaleN
Metal products supplier MetaleN manufactures heat exchanger tubes by combining different alloy inner tubes with various fin materials in a vast range of applications to effectively heat or cool down liquids, gasses, oils or air.
Many factors contribute to the type of materials required to effectively create an application-specific heat exchanger. These factors include ambient temperature, inner and outer tube surface temperature, the type of matter used inside and outside of tubes, the maximum pressure capabilities and the size of the heat exchanger.
The most common heat exchangers used across process industries are tube-and-shell designs. With rising electricity costs worldwide, efficiency has become a major focus in these plants. Compared with plain tubes, finned tube heat exchangers offer a significant performance advantage. In many cases, the use of finned tubes can reduce the number of required heat exchangers by half. For large operations, this translates into lower electricity consumption as well as reduced maintenance costs.
Advancements in heat-exchange technology also include the growing use of economisers in large boiler systems. By preheating water before it enters the boiler, economisers improve overall efficiency and reduce the energy needed to generate steam. These systems rely on larger inner-diameter tubes to maintain sufficient water flow from the economiser into the boiler.
As heat-exchange demands constantly evolve, energy efficiency has become a critical requirement. Capturing heat from one part of a plant and reusing it in another through effective heat-exchange solutions is a daily necessity.
